Spotlight On - Waitrose & Partners in partnership with Mind

Waitrose & Partners have been one of the many vital services helping to keep this country going throughout the year, and Mind have been a key support system to many that have struggled throughout the pandemic. That's why, this week's Customer Spotlight is Waitrose & Partners in partnership with Mind in West Essex. Over months of lockdown, many of us have relied heavily on our local supermarkets and online grocery shopping with services such as Waitrose and their partners including John Lewis and their online service, Ocado. During this time, the pandemic has also had a huge negative impact on our mental health, whether we’ve been furloughed at home, working through lockdown as a keyworker, or dealing directly with the effect of the Coronavirus on ourselves or our loved ones. That's why this week, we feel that our Customer Spotlight is the perfect company to represent some of the Best of Britain in 2020.

Waitrose

Waitrose and Partners were first founded in 1904 as Wait, Rose & Taylor, before becoming Waitrose Ltd in 1908. As part of Britain's larget employee-owned retailed, Waitrose & Partners now have over 335 shops throughout the United Kingdom, and have become known for their 'upmarket' reputation. This is further shown by their royal warrant to supply groceries, spirits and wines to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.

Originally founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health (NAMH), Mind is one of the largest mental health charities in the country. With over 132 local Mind associations across the country, the charity is able to provide services including support groups, supported housing, support scheme, and drop-in centres. Each association is an independent, affiliated charity that shares the brand’s aims and ethics, and we were lucky enough to work with one of our local associations, Mind Sheffield.
